What can you expect during your arborist consultation?

‍Our office frequently receives calls regarding tree removal or the inspection of worrisome trees from our clients. When reaching out to a tree company, the expectation is for the person you contact to provide a quote for tree removal. However, contacting an arborist offers a greater wealth of information due to the extensive education and experience required to attain certification as an arborist. While they can certainly offer a quote for tree removal a skilled arborist goes beyond merely discussing the cost involved. They provide a much more comprehensive experience, offering valuable insights and expertise.

‍The arborist may mention alternatives to the service you are asking for.

‍There may be solutions that help retain the urban canopy. If the tree can be maintained in a manner that reduces the overall risk to a comfortable level, your arborist may discuss pruning options or other alternatives that can help prolong the life of your tree. Trees that are diseased or have insect activity may have other alternative options besides removal. Our plant healthcare team can treat a variety of common tree ailments that improve the overall health of the tree and help mature trees live longer.

‍Our arborists are trained to recognize signs and symptoms that trees may need extra attention. This can often include things that are not visible to the untrained eye. We set aside an hour for your arborist to meet with you and discuss the trees on your property. This hour is your time to ask any questions that you may have. Most consultations do not take that long, however it greatly depends on the number of trees on your property, the size of your property, and how many questions that you have.

‍What if it takes longer?

‍Do you have multiple acres with trees that need a great amount of attention and care? A tree that needs closer inspection or something in writing? Please mention that before we visit your property. We are happy to schedule extra time and provide additional recommendations, however we only allocate an hour to most properties. Our initial consultation is complimentary in most cases, however there are situations that require a fee. If you require a written report, would like to have a consultation for tree identification on a large property, or need the information for purposes of purchasing a house, we may request a fee, however this will always be made clear before we provide the service.

‍What if I just want the quote for removing a tree – I don’t want anything else?

‍Certainly! If you simply desire a quote for tree removal without any additional information, that's perfectly okay! Just inform us that you're solely interested in discussing the specific tree removal, and we'll fully respect your boundaries and time constraints. Your needs and preferences are important to us, and we're here to accommodate them in the most convenient way possible.
